Juliana Dornellas was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She learned how to speak English at the age of 17 and has since developed a passion for writing poetry in English. In 2003, she graduated in English, Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She has lived in California, London and Rio de Janeiro. But her dream city is Barcelona. Besides writing, she loves impossible love stories. She dreams dreams too big to fit in life, gets lost in them, and finds herself on blank pages again and again. Laura LoTurco-Gorian is seduced by texture, form and structure, and is inspired by the way that light creates ever changing shadows illuminating intricate details. She received her BFA and MFA from The School of Visual Arts in NYC and her career in the arts has spanned over twenty-four years. She has illustrated three children's s books.
