
Philip Kent was born in 1942 in Kansas. His family moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1950. He then moved to San Francisco, CA in 1963 to attend San Francisco State University, then spent two years in the army from 1964 to 1966. His degree in art led to a 30 year career in driving trucks. He is now semi retired.
Philip is an avid cyclist, and cycle tourist and is a one time editor of a Cycling newsletter. He finds that, "Driving and cycling have taken me to many enchanted places in California, and trees have always been a source of inspiration both in poetry and photography."
